Bartosz Frątczak is a Polish documentary and conceptual photographer living and working in Vilnius, Lithuania. His work explores the relationships between memory, history, and identity, tracing how remnants of the past shape and inhabit the contemporary landscape. His photography balances between documentary and visual experimentation, combining archival references, urban space, and cultural or political symbols.
He is the author of several solo exhibitions, including The Non-Existent (Ne-Būtis), From the Shadow, Verba-rze, and The Last Witnesses. His artistic practice touches on collective memory, the mechanisms of erasure, and the reinterpretation of tradition. He is particularly interested in cultural heritage, historical traces in public space, and the relationship between imagery and historical narrative.
Frątczak is a member of the Association of Polish Art Photographers (ZPAF), a student at the Institute of Creative Photography in Opava, and a participant in the Sputnik Photos program. His work has been exhibited internationally and featured in numerous publications.
